Go, Go, Go!

This past week started with an 80th birthday party for Nathan's grandpa.  It started early with fishing which we missed, but luckily the girls had stayed the night with Grandma and Grandpa and got to go.  It was the first time either of the girls had been fishing, so they were excited I'm sure. From what I hear Bria was pretty good at casting. Neither of caught any fish, but they both want to go again.  Nathan, Eli, and I arrived just before lunch. Unfortunately the overwhelming smell of fish made eating impossible for me; everyone else seemed to enjoy it though.  All three kids had a good time. They played on the swings, helped in the garden, played some games, chased some cats, and went to visit the horse.

Eli was so excited about the horse.  As soon as he saw it running up the hill he reached his little hands out motioning like he wanted it.

Everyone was pretty tired, and all three were asleep shortly after leaving.

The rest of the week was pretty busy too. We finished reading "The Mouse and the Motorcycle" Monday evening, and Tuesday evening we had a Parents as Teachers get together with several of the vehicles in the community. With those two things happening so close I decided we would do a few transportation based activities.

Of course Wednesday was Talk Like a Pirate Day, so we had a little treasure hunt in the backyard.  The girls loved it, and Eli loved the chocolate coins!

We also spent one day pulling out all the winter clothes. Now that we area ready for it, I am hoping it stays away.  I personally am already missing summer!
