To make these fun alphabet pop up books you just need a few materials that you probably already own! I used construction paper as my base, a sparkly foam for the inside letter, and regular paper to draw and color our images.

We started by cutting a few straight lines up on the folded edge of the construction paper, and fold up. This is what will make the images “pop” up when the book is opened.

Open the paper and fold the cut outs inward so they pop out.

Next, draw and color your images (or print some out, if you’d prefer!)
Glue your pictures onto the pop up boxes and then decorate the rest of your book! You can add a cover, write the words next to the images, and add little decorates wherever you’d like!

The inside of our book. We chose to start with R and our images are rainbow, rock, and rabbit.

This simple book has been the hit of the day and even accompanied us to bedtime tonight!
